Description

Wheatpaste PostersÂź

Are you ready to start your next wheatpasting campaign? For wheatpasting, you’ll need a high-quality wheatpaste poster printing service and this is what Wild Posters brings to the table. Our same-day wheatpaste poster printing products are available in the typical wheatpasting sizes of 24″x36″ and big format 48″x72″ and are ideal for storefronts, construction site fences, wallscapes, and any wall surface.

Wheatpaste posters are thin paper posters that are attached to outdoor walls and surfaces using wheatpaste, a handmade adhesive combination. Posters, sketches, and paintings may be made on paper and glued to the walls. Wheatpaste is used by a wide range of individuals, from underground activists and street artists to concert promoters*, to attach their posters to any wall. It’s a low-cost, high-impact way of distributing pictures and ideas. Here are two recipes that are both properly dosed and cooked, resulting in a paste that is both stronger and softer. The first is a limited quantity. The second is a huge number of items. The recipes may always be doubled or tripled. That’s understandable. Simply add a little white or wood glue if you believe it’s too runny.

To make wheatpaste, mix two parts white or whole-grain wheat flour with three parts water, stir out any lumps, and heat the mixture to a boil. When it thickens, add more water; continue cooking it on low heat for at least half an hour, stirring constantly so as not to burn it.

Our wheatpaste posters were a huge hit! It’s of excellent quality and looks fantastic on the wall! It wasn’t as large as I expected, but that’s my own for not measuring well! But it was still very large, and it looks fantastic! Their goods are fantastic! I’m not a huge fan of paying for anything before seeing it, but we did, and now that we know, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again!

I don’t know what else to say except WOW! It gives my recently built music studio a legitimate brand/ All I need now is some cool posters for inside and I’ll be good to go! Thank you very much Wild Posters!

I’m very pleased with how the wheatpaste posters came out! The size is ideal, and it easily adheres to the wall. I’d purchase from them again in a heartbeat.

This is the first time we’ve ordered wheatpaste poster printings from Wild Posters, and we’ll be back. These are of excellent quality, simple to install as the paper they use is pretty thin. We’re an agency and it’s not easy to find a good printer who isn’t outsourcing to someone else but these guys are the real deal.

This is the fourth large poster that Wild Posters has created for me, and I am really pleased with all of them. I’m a Photoshop aficionado who works with images from the Library of Congress’s holdings. The two photographs turned into posters by Wild Posters were originally scans of photos taken in 1942 of the old New York City El trains (produced from 4″x5″ negatives, most likely using a Speed Graphic press camera). They were both in poor shape and needed a lot of tedious editing, but it was done, and they created two massive posters that look fantastic framed on my den walls; they made all the effort worthwhile.

Poster Printing FAQ

Got a question about our poster printing services? We’ll try to answer it here. If you ever need something different just let us know and we’ll get you a custom quote or call one of our team today.

What is the most durable paper material?

Among our paper and cardstock selections, 16 pt. cardstock is the thickest. With a weight equal to ordinary business cards and luxurious invitations, it will last longer than any other and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Both the 14pt and 16pt cardstocks are rigid, without any bending.

How should I prepare my artwork files?

  • Prepare your files in CMYK color mode rather than RGB.
  • For black lettering, change the font color to 100% K instead of 4c.
  • When utilizing special colors, enter the desired Pantone or HKS colors in the color channel.
  • Instructions for special colors: Overlay a special color with another process color (CMYK) using knockout rather than overprinting. Knockout should be used to generate special colors over a CMYK color.
  • When ordering a greyscale item, use the greyscale color mode.
  • To guarantee a precise greyscale print outcome, create grey regions in shades of black.

Image Dimensions

250 dpi for graphics, images and photographs.
250 dpi for color and greyscale pictures.
1.200 dpi line artwork (drawings and text at a tiny font size).
150 dpi for advertising technology and text-based ad posters
72 dpi for advertising technological items.

Save your files as PDF, EPS, AI, PS, JPG, or TIF, which are all print-ready vector file types. All layers should be reduced to a single, flat backdrop layer.

Embedded Fonts & Paths

To avoid printing issues, convert all of your fonts and paths to outlines (or if we do not have the exact font on our systems).

Make sure the text and background colors have enough contrast.

Tips for Best Results

Full-bleed pictures should be used.
Use full-bleed pictures with visuals that span the whole dimension of the paper to achieve the greatest potential result.

Borders should be avoided in designs.
Borders should not be used in your designs. If the print shifts during the cutting process, the borders may seem uneven.

Upload your pictures in the proper orientation.
Images can be arranged horizontally or vertically. Upload your print file in the appropriate orientation when creating a product.

Are your products eco-friendly?

We adore this magnificent planet and feel that it is critical to preserve it. Our choice to become green was an easy one, but we want to make it as simple as possible for everyone. We think that even the tiniest decisions we make over time may have a tremendous impact. As a result, it is our mission to make environmentally responsible options more accessible than ever before.

All of our items, including our packaging and the mailers we use to transport your purchase, are made completely of recycled paper. This means that no trees are felled or harmed, and all of the paper we use is created from recycled materials.

We exclusively print using eco-inks and non-toxic digital toners to reduce our carbon impact even more. We’re constantly looking for innovative methods to include sustainability into our workflow.

Paper: We exclusively use FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) certified 100 percent PCW paper. Rather of utilizing carbon or nuclear energy, we utilize biogas, which is the energy provided by decomposing landfill trash and collected and used for paper manufacturing at the mill. Thousands of tons of CO2 are saved each year as a result of this.

Printing: Rather of using hazardous inks that include VOCs (volatile organic compounds), we print only using non-toxic inks to preserve our air and water free of contaminants.

To ensure that our quality and sustainability requirements are followed, all of our materials are obtained from inside the United States and Canada. All of our printing takes place at our facility in Brooklyn, New York.

Are your files checked before printing?

Before printing, our crew double-checks all of the work. If we run into any issues with the files, we’ll let you know and show you how to modify the format. Please keep in mind that color and size mode conversions will be done automatically without any input from you.

Before we go to print we check:

  • if the files are in one of the acceptable file types (PDF, JPG, TIFF, EPS or PS).
  • if the page count is right
  • if the file you’ve provided is in grayscale (only if you have ordered a color print)
  • whether the file is the correct size (if not, we will scale your work to the appropriate size, which may result in a loss of resolution). There will be no more bleeding added to the procedure).
  • if the drill lines have been pre-determined
  • Check whether the correct typefaces have been included in the document.

Why do my artworks need bleed?

All files should have a 2mm bleed on either side to guarantee that there are no white spots on the printed output. This means that your design should always be 2mm bigger than the actual print format (including pictures and graphics). Failure to do so may result in minor differences, such as white margins. Place typefaces and key parts of your artwork at least 3mm away from the final format (not counting bleeding) and avoid using edges as edges in layouts to guarantee that they are visible.

Optional:

  • If you’re sending data in an open format for printing, the bleed should be 4mm on each side (e.g., A4 size with bleed should be 301 x 214mm).
  • Please prepare a file with 3mm bleed on each side if submitting files for presentation folders, banners, monthly calendars, packaging, or any other promotional technology items.
  • Envelopes should have a 1mm bleed on all sides.
  • The elastic frames for textiles must be bled 15mm.
