What is a Vector Image?

A Vector Image is a digital graphic that uses mathematical equations to create shapes, allowing for infinite scaling without loss of quality.

Unlike raster images, which are composed of pixels and can lose clarity when scaled up or down, vector images maintain their crispness and resolution no matter how much they’re resized. This makes them ideal for logos, text, and other graphics that need to remain sharp at various sizes. Vector files are typically smaller than raster files, making them quicker to load and easier on your website’s bandwidth. They’re particularly favored in branding and advertising because they allow for seamless scaling across different media—from business cards to billboards—without any loss in quality.
