Plotter

What is a Plotter?

A Plotter is a printer designed for printing large-scale graphics, such as architectural plans and engineering drawings.

Unlike conventional printers that render text and images by dot matrix patterns, plotters draw continuous lines and are therefore ideal for producing architectural blueprints, engineering designs, and detailed graphical presentations. They operate by moving a pen over the surface of a piece of paper, which means they can create intricate designs with high precision. Plotters vary in size, often accommodating larger paper formats to suit different professional needs. While their usage has declined with the advancement in digital display technology, plotters still hold significant value in fields requiring precise manual adjustments and high-quality large-scale outputs.
